Sample recipe from my cookbook.

Burmese Roasted Chicken:

This recipe is all done in one big pot
Great for the family and unexpected guest.

1 whole chicken (or you can use chicken pieces such as legs, breast, thighs etc which cuts down the cooking time)

1/2 cup of soy sauce
3 cloves of garlic minced
2 medium potatoes cubed
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons cooking oil
2 cups of cooked rice
1/2 cup of water

In a large pot saute garlic in cooking oil.
Add chicken, soy sauce and sugar.
Add water and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
Remove chicken and set aside.
Add rice to sauce mixture.
Return chicken into the pot.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
